is not a job for amators. I've probably install over a 100 in the last 20 years, but it's one of my least favorite jobs, as no two seem to fit the same. Since the new production barrels are not index marked, it requires several adjustments to get the extractor groove and front sights to line up just right with the receiver, and many of these new barrels are short chamber and need a final chamber ream after installation, not to mention a ramp job for consistent function. So unless you have the proper receiver wrench, barrel vise, finish reamers, and a lot of insurance, I don't recommend it.
