Default Re: Preservative products

A Goldenrod works great in a gunsafe. It keeps the temperature of the interior of the safe slightly warmer than the room air and prevents condensation. Large temperature swings are the most damaging to stored firearms. If the firearms in the safe are allowed to cool down and then you have a warm humid day, the moisture will form on the cool metal of the firearms. A temperature difference of only two of three degrees warmer in the gunsafe will prevent this from happening.

I store my pistols in pistol storage boxes from Robert's Arms Specialties wrapped in VPI paper. Not only do the boxes stack neatly, but the boxes come with a pressure sensitive label and you can record all information on the end of the box.
