I believe 1917 was when the fine tune front and rear sights were being phased out, with most 1918 not having the fine tune feature.

You might want to inquire about this. If the LP-08 has the fine tune adjustments, they seem to get a bit more on resale.

I have been looking at real ratty shooter LP-08's for awhile in CA-sate. Going prices here for a 50-60% original finish gun seems to be ~ $ 1,200.00 (...which I refuse to pay...).
