Might I ask how such nice and plentiful lugers, historically, ended up in New Zealand ?

Can't remember if New Zealand got into WWI. In WWII, did a lot of vets bring back lugers in their duffel bags ? Or are there some big importers working overtime at the bottom end of the world ? <img src="graemlins/yltype.gif" border="0" alt="[typing]" />
