I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with the bulk of opinion here. I assume that you all object to the game because it finds pleasure from something that has caused so much suffering and trivializes the war. My question is, what's the difference between the video game and the movies that you guys like?


Sure, some films like Saving Private Ryan or Platoon can be seen as meaningful attempts to share the suffering of war with those who have never been there, but films such as the Dirty Dozen or Where Eagles Dare are pure action/adventure movies that use the war setting for pure entertainment value.


If you want to not participate in activities that marginalize the suffering of war that's commendable, but you should be consistant.
