Sorry to tease you, but I couldn't resist. I put up with northern winters for 60 years and I won't be back north after Sept or before May ever again. I had a house in PA at the top of a 1400 ft private road for 20 years and spent many evenings fighting snow. I don't know how they ever settled the north. I admit that I am lucky to have the best of both north and south weather.

FL is a great place to live for at least 8 months of the year (hope I can dodge hurricanes). Readily available carry permits, close to a great free county shooting range, reasonable laws, lots of guns. Life is very good.
