Hey Doc Fisher... according to my understanding... the changeover from straw to blue on the parts you mentioned (and possibly the magazine release button I think) took place during 1937 Mauser production... when they switched from the Rust Blue to Hot Salt Blue process...so Yes, I believe you are correct in your assumption.
G-coded guns were manufactured prior to that time... in 1935 according to The Luger Book by John Walter, Page 223.
