Some years ago I received some information on erma pistol parts from ithacaartist.
I have a damaged firing pin that the tip broke off. Is there a way that a new pin could be drilled into the firing assemble front? Does this damaged part have value? Ray |

Hi Ray,
This part is scarce as hen's teeth. I've imported them from Germany, but sorta gave up doing that. Silver soldering a replacement pin into the end of the part is certainly a viable approach. You'll notice that the full original diameter of the pin takes it slightly out of the diameter of the body of the part. Drilling a hole for that diameter would be an "interrupted cut," which would be problematic. Reducing the diameter of the replacement would keep its hole within the diameter of the body, making it more feasible to drill a successful hole.
