If it was me and I wanted the pistol I would make a $1,000 offer and evaluate the response. Not much to lose there if the seller accepts the offer, and you get something that you can actually shoot.
Of course, if you want a collectible firearm and are not interested in a shooter grade then that's a whole 'nuther story and you can disregard my opinion. |

I loaded a picture of my 37 straw s/42 of original barrel on an early straw 37 like the one you’re showing . See the halos around the barrel numbers ; the picture I see of yours is no Halos and they were there originally. as that was stamped after rust blueing . From the picture I see she’s been re-blued
