Thanks, Mike, something like this would be the ticket! I suppose I could use the rings on something else...but they are sold out.

I like the way they've negotiated the use of the rear sight's dovetail for mounting. The rail overhangs the ejection port of the rifle a bit, I suppose biased forward to give room for scopes to render proper eye relief. If used for the mini red dot, the rail could be shifted back--which would look better, too, IMO.
