Budweiser beer in the U.S. generally ranks among the other "American Style" beers here. During a semester in London, I encountered "Budvar Budweiser" which is Czech brewed by the same brewery that makes Pilsner Urquell. The latter is available here, but not the Budweiser, which has a very similar taste to the American version, but is richer and more potent, more like a craft brew.

The landlord for the bedsit I rented in Harrington Gardens ran a distributorship for both brews, from the closet in his office. He actually hired me part-time for 90p/hr. to deliver cases to various pubs and shops using his Austin van.
