Is this luger rare?

So my premature initial feeling to trade the "G" date for the 41/42 should be held at bay. To most of you it may be an easy decision, but I can't help but want "the rarer one" of the two. And with xmas coming up don't want to outright put out the cash. And on the other hand don't want to pass up a hard to find weapon either. Don't know where I would be without the valueable data and information from you guys on this board though. It is very much appreciated more than you know.
My only suggestion to myself is, I OWN a rare one and have to realize, ya can't own em all..lol.
