I agree with Ed, as i've only seen this type top cover on some reworked Walther M6 holsters. TH

The color of the leather and the thread looks very uniform throughout the holster. I'd bet if it was a rework, it was probably redied. Thanks for the information. Is that leather knot on the cover of the tool pouch typical?

The stitching is new, and not executed very well, i.e. uneven spacing and stitch size, especially on the buckle tongue strap.

I don't think it is a "rework" but just a holster made by someone other than a German saddler. JMHO.
