You could measure the length, and number of coils of your old mainspring; and the wire diameter.
And report here. If your ejector was a "crappy" aftermarket part; its breaking is just bad luck.

I contacted GT and he is sending me some original ejectors to try out so hopefully I'll have more success with one of them. He's throwing in some extractor springs too so now I have a couple of different things I can try.
