Notice the early Luftwaffe acceptance and wood grips. In 1936 they were dated for a short time and then regular production starting in 1937 with typical phenolic resin grips.

Much later, around 1942 the Ecko logo and date were eliminated for the secret ojr code. However there are some of these guns with no date and the Ecko logo as a transition before the ojr code was in place with no dates.
