In about 1929, the Swiss introduced a cost reduced but very high precision version of the Luger. They did what they could to simplify the design for easier manufacturing.

That version is what you showed in your first post.

While the Swiss WaffenFabrik Bern was responsible for manufacture of these Lugers, many of the parts have SIG marks on them, indicating subcontractor work.

Swiss serial numbers are sequential from the very first one they accepted for army service in 1900 through the last one accepted in 1948 as they made the transition to the SIG P210.

When Mauser started their project to make modern Lugers in the late 1960's, they acquired the blueprints, manufacturing jigs and gauges from the Swiss, but ended up engineering their own production line. The early Lugers that they produced in the early 1970's look much like the Swiss Lugers.
