Thanks for the information on what Portugal is currently using.
Just as speculation, if Portugal has the P-1, FN35 and the H&K in stock, the H&K seems to be the newest. IF this is the case, the P-1 and the FN35 are the older of the three and would be the reserve pistols. The FN35 may have been replaced by the P-1 in the 1960s after the German contracts were fulfilled and then replaced by the H&K. If any of the above happens to be correct, I would suppose that the Lugers may have been replaced in service in the mid to late 1950s, and stored as reserves. I seem to remember that they were released to the market in the early 1980s; probably when the H&K pistol was issued. This is all pure speculation and just random thoughts ONLY.
