Thx for the correction Alvin. Guess it's a matter of exposure then, as I've run across two Astra's in the last few years in the Phoenix area and haven't ever run onto the Mauser model. Regardless, that's a really nice rig that Douglas has taken the time to show us.

Very nice!
Last time I saw one (only time!) was in the Waffen Bavaria store near the train station in München back in the mid-80's (I related that story here before). They wanted the equivalent of $700 US for it. ![]() Long ago...and oh so far away...
