I looked at the add in the classified section by forum member dz with list of side plates to trade but no 95 number listed.
It would be nice if I could find a 95 side plate but im not too worried as the holster wear on this pistol is uniform so I think it has been mis-matched for a long time.

I find it interesting that the magazine is serialized to the pistol and managed to stay with the pistol but the pistol ended up with the wrong side plate and holster'

story of this pistol was brought back from Europe after the war by a friends grandfather, passed down to his father and then to him.
Last time he remembers the pistol being fired was on a camping trip back in late 1960's.
Pistol has been kept in the holster in a garage for last 30+ years.
My friend has no real interest in guns and prefares fishing so I asked if he wanted to sell it. He had no sentimental attachment to his grandfathers Luger and wanted it to go to somebody who would appreciate it so I ended up with it.

Congrats on you "new" Luger. CAUTION, one Luger can easily lead to 2....3....4, etc. I would continue to look for a correctly numbered sideplate, but enjoy the Luger. A very nice outfit.
