Visited a small dealer last Friday. The sales person had nothing to do, while I was in the show room, he took down a new short barrel .45 pistol from rack, pulled the slide many times and had fun. "You will create unnecessary scratches"

He was helping the first purchaser to "break in" the action!
Very kind of him, and necessary with many of these new short
1911 types- many don't function well for the first xxx rounds.

This type pistol is bought to carry and used, so scratches are of no consequence.
