Anybody have an idea of why the frame has been cut away so much??? What could he have been thinking about there???

Because of the way the frame has been cut and apparently set up to be longer, I would speculate that the original perpetrator of this design had intended to use a cartridge that had a much longer overall length than the standard 9mm round.

Perhaps a wildcat cartridge, or something line 7.63mm Mauser or Tokarev? .30 Caliber Carbine? or 9mm Longo? or 9mm Bergmann?

Wouldn't the breechblock/toggle assembly have to be lengthened as well???

And the barrel extension/"receiver"??? Maybe the sear bar??? And isn't there a hold-open in that area???

Ambitious project...Any chance that this was an exercise by John Martz???
