I'd say Pakistani origin, maybe around the year 2010... and then the aging process takes place by having their animals chew on them and then leave them out in the sun for a few months, eh?

Probably...a lot has been learned since the book was first published in 1969 (and, other than publishing it in a smaller format, has not been updated since). It still remains an excellent reference for the new collector as it provides a "catalog" of most major Luger variations. A little of the descriptive information is no longer valid, so newer references should be consulted when contemplating a high dollar or obscure purchase.
