I agree with you guys that the WW2 girls, or women behind the men from that generation had a beauty that was unique to just them! Maybe it was depression hard, or wartime tough, but they were beautiful inside and out!
During that time, the war years, In South Dakota, my father was a national guard staff sergeant and trained troops in small arms, most notably the Thompson, and my mother was part of the auxiliary that helped serve the soldiers, airmen and sailors food, donuts, sandwiches and such.. It was quite a feat as trains stopped there day and night from both coasts, they actually became somewhat inside famous for the pheasant sandwich which was there main claim to fame... My mother was a real sharp looking girl, and I bet she got hit on 10,000++ times... .... But she was tough too!!! As twenty years later I occasionally felt her wrath....... I really miss them now..as we all do our folks.. Best to all, til...lat'r....GT
