There really are no "Last Ditch" Lugers, as production was essentially terminated before the Reich reached that point. The Bakelite grips were a logistic expedient, since wood was a scarse and strategic material.
There is nothing second class about these pistols and they represent, for me, the most fascinating era of Luger production. |
