I was at Sportman's Park in St Louis in 1952 when Stan hit a homerun, I didn't get to see him hit it because being five, in the upper left field seats and all the grownps standing, cheering, yelling, the only way I knew it was him who hit the homerun was his name that my grandad kept shouting.

"Bring on the fire brigade, bring on the fire brigade, Stan is on fire today"
