Its more about the lack of loadings than the actual power. There are no really decent defense loads available for the .38 S&W. and I would not want to carry handloads due to liability.

Probably due to the large number of top-break revolvers which are old and not 'robust' enough to handle hot loads...

The one i own seems to be able to take out any threat you may encounter from any zombie televisions. Beyond that who knows, actualy a very pleasant round.
