Ron,

Circa 1921 the 9th Reichswehr Regt. was stationed in Potsdam.

In 1941 it was reorganized as the 7th Light Driving Column.

In 1942-43 it was again reorganized as the 9th Armored Infantry Regt.

In 1944 it became the 9th Grenadier Regt.

Thanks for the info Ron.

That is why I like unit mark guns the extra bit of history .
