Chuck, welcome to the forum.
Unknown about the 'u' would love to see pictures of it. That period, the Haenel made magazines had the code FXO and the acceptance marking of eagle 37, the P08 means its for the luger. The serial number was because it was a police. The banner mauser was a commercial variation that was bought by the police and went into service receiving the sear safety. ed
