I agree that there are (probably) some very reasonable people at the BATF. Unfortunately, the decision to prosecute or not to prosecute is not made on the basis of agent's personality, but instead on other factors, mainly whether or not they can win the case. And when they see an easy win I do not want to be that poor SOB.
When in doubt, don't.

Would it be illegal to own one if you had a Luger with a stock
lug? Is the Ideal rig illegal to own as it can be attached to a
Luger with or without a stock lug and with differnt lenght barrle's?
