Well, there is no money to earn with special interest books like this. But it's my hobby and it makes fun.

No, I meant that it shows that others share your interest and place value on your work...

Most if not all of my 'hobby' work is a total loss as well; I never recoup my investment...but it is challenging and interesting (to me) and therefore worthy of my time...

It also allows me to extend my talents/abilities in a way that my 'real' job does not...
