There is a guy on GunBroker.com named Rich [username: rwc] who frequently lists Luger mag bottoms...He might be able to help you...
Or...there is a magazine expert on this Forum who goes under the name of GT...he makes mag bottoms...from scratch...and has some mag tubes as well...he might be able to 'force match' a mag for your dad... ![]() I know - it's blasphemy...

so got an email this morning and this is what my dad says.....hope this helps. thanks
My Luger is a Mauser dated 1939 with the number "42" on the toggle. Serial number is 1601 with "u" suffix. I know some magazines have had the aluminum knob sanded down and new numbers inscribed. The magazine that I currently have with the gun is 6914 h. It's my understanding that there were two magazines produced per gun. Let me know what you find out. |
