P block sounds a little early for the plastic bottoms. ??? But there never was a clear cut off line on these. Someone more experienced will be along shortly

Here is an example of a 1941 fxo "p" suffix magazine. Most likely your luger was issued two similar matching magazines. As FNorm stated, black plastic bottoms were issued later in 1941. Tom |

Tom, thanks. It's not a big surprise it's the earliest fxo magazine you own. My records show the last 122 magazine was issued around 1000p.
