Luger Front Sight Adjustment Tool

Luke, I had a machinist make me several of these rare tools. Not every machinist would be capable of this as one would need drawings and measurements but this fellow has been working with Luger barrels for thirty years or longer. Art is right, they are expensive no matter where you get one. I am in the process of putting together a system to case harden the ones I have because the pressures involved with screwing the tight front sight over has distorted a test model. When made out of soft steel it is necessary to harden the steel somewhat to withstand this pressure on the face. I do not believe strawing or heat tempering would do it. At any rate they are available out there.You must remember that not every front sight is the same height and not all barrels are the same. A tool made by someone will not necessarily fit your pistol. The ones I had made do fit the pistols I have but there are many it will not fit. Jerry Burney
