DJU
Mauser almost ceased the numbering of Luger magazines at the end of the - u - block of the 41-byf production. From this point the normal was a fxo-SE-37-PO8 (rightside up P 08) marked magazine body. The magazines might have a black bakalite bottom or a concave pinned aluminum bottom. Normally, they were not numbered. However, "WaAmt" USA has become involved and many are now numbered. Be very careful of any 41 or 42 byf Luger beyond the - U - letter suffix with matching magazines. Some were numbered, you would have to have a Luger magazine expert in your pocket along with your glass to recognize the bad ones. Just life in the fast lane.
