Tracey is quite right, WWII Mauser production was sequenced differently from WWI DWM and Erfurt--check Still's Third Reich Lugers, p.16.
Actually, any part could end up "plum" colored. I have observed plum extractors and ejectors; go to the "Old Owner's Corner" on the home page black bar, and check out Thor's (Ted Green's) "Plum S/42" for a Luger which is almost completely plum. --Dwight |
