Breaking a numbered part on a matching gun will knock a chunk of change off it's value. Many keep a spare extractor, firing pin and even toggles and breech block to go shooting with. A new spring would be a good idea if you have any doubts, it's lasted 88 years, shame to batter it to death now Stu
