Default Re: aluminium ww2 magazine questions

Rob,

There are a lot of different variations in magazines for WWII. There are commercial and military magazines. The best was to learn about magazines is to buy some books and study what magazines are pictured and then go to every gun-show in your area, or pawn shops, or fellow collectors, and look, hold, and study the body and bases. Your going to have to have someone show you the different variations and what to look for as far as serial numbers, size, proofs, body types, and how they are pinned. This can be learned and only takes time and some experience. The magazines are one of the most important parts of the gun, as a matching magazine will greatly increase the price, and two matching magazines will usually double the price, so -- you guessed it, they are one of the first things to me messed with. Good Luck!
