Okay that answers the 9mm question. The question about the suffix is more that it appears to be a backward a, and if there is any significance. I realize it deals with production numbers, but the with it being backward I didn't know if that made a difference. With regards to the serial number, it it 5698. I will try to post pictures later.

Also does anybody know a site where I can learn about the Greman symbols used in the proof marks?
