Some years ago I received some information on erma pistol parts from ithacaartist.
I have a damaged firing pin that the tip broke off. Is there a way that a new pin could be drilled into the firing assemble front? Does this damaged part have value? Ray |

Hi Ray,
This part is scarce as hen's teeth. I've imported them from Germany, but sorta gave up doing that. Silver soldering a replacement pin into the end of the part is certainly a viable approach. You'll notice that the full original diameter of the pin takes it slightly out of the diameter of the body of the part. Drilling a hole for that diameter would be an "interrupted cut," which would be problematic. Reducing the diameter of the replacement would keep its hole within the diameter of the body, making it more feasible to drill a successful hole.

Ray, I purchased an aftermarket stainless steel firing pin for my Erma Luger KGP-68A from a seller on Ebay called Iron Sight Precision (ironsightprescision.comm) about nine years ago. I just searched for their website and I did not find them but rather got routed to firingpins.com. That company doesn't list any firing pins for our Ermas, but you may wish to contact them since they may have acquired ISP's inventory.
Lastly I also picked up a spare firing pin from Ithacaartist (Dave) around the same time. He was most helpful. When I acquire a vintage firearm I immediately search for some spare parts. Best wishes on your search.

Thanks, Eugen I did find the 69 firing pin on eBay. Now I have 2 spares and 1 broken one. Good advice from both you ERMA fans.
