New old holsters
 

During the last month I picked up 2 commercial 4" Luger holsters, one is a 1906, the other is a 1910. Here are some photos:

Those are beautiful holsters. I have always liked the leather covered buckles. Congratulations on these great pieces.

I observed that early commercial holsters like the 1900 and 1906 for 4 3/4â?� barreled Lugers have a patent fastener (push- button) on the tool pouch as on the first photos while 1906 and 1910 commercial holsters for the 4â?� Luger have the brass button as we know on the military holsters.
There must be a reason for it.
