Default EBay WARNING!!!

Many of these have been appearing lately and this seller claims this is an ORIGINAL Artillery holster. At first glance, because of it's worn condition it seems appealing but I assure you it is a 1960's reproduction.

Jerry...I have noticed the same thing with eBay auctions.

When I do a search let's say for "german holster" and an item comes up and I try to post that url directly on the LF, it does not bring up the auction.

But if I transfer the auction number back to the home page of eBay and then bring up that auction, I can copy that url and post it with no problems on the LF...

Pete, One more thing to complicate the life of a computer idiot like me. Stitching holsters 10 nhours a day seems to occupy me completely and leaves very little time to figure this stuff out! Wonder why the Ebay flying monkeys would do this? Jerry Burney

Norm, Hard to say why it was removed..The seller argued that he had had it looked at by local collectors, compared to 1960's reproductions and was convinced it was original. It would obviously sell to someone as is....Jerry Burney

Nickola,

If Jerry cannot help out, you might consider one of these.

I bought a light colored one and am pleased with the quality for the low price :

Nikola, Thanks for the note...I am no longer making custom holsters such as you requested. They are very consuming , not to mention expensive and my regular repair and restorations fully occupy my limited time.
take a look at Pete's suggestion..if it was up to Pete's standards I am sure you would be happy with it!
Thanks, Jerry Burney

These are not the water-buffalo or goat-skin or monkey-bladder products showing up from Pakistan and other parts.

Nice, strudy cow hide (just a bit thicker than real holsters but not too thick) and workmanship is quite good.

I was expecting the worst and was nicely surpised when mine showed up.

A fellow sells a similar or probably the same quality repro Navy holster on eBay regularly as well. This is a photo from one of the previous eBay auctions. Thy seem to go for $ 40-45 plus $ 20 for shipping when the auctions are won :

Shipping seems high...maybe the seller wants a "shipping and handling" fee. Maybe ask for a discount on S&H fee or on the holster price...???

High perhaps, but the price (under the new post office fees) may not be all that bad.

To be sure, one would have to check with the post office.

I don't if you guys have heard but it looks like all we will be able to buy on e-bay will be holsters
As of mid Aug e-bay will not allow any mags, parts to firearms of any kind along with bullits and shells
I was e-mailed this link to the article that claims the Virignia Tech tragedy is the cause for this.
