Just wondering how many of these guns are in the hands of forum members. As some will know I have a M2 and a GNR. No real need for serial numbers, but go ahead and post them if you like.

2483
2688
2866
3383

GNR
2175v

Ron, your not going to believe this, but I just won an auction on Ebay for a GNR holster. It has the number 2269 on the back. Never saw a number on any of the other GNR holsters I've seen.
PS hope I didn't out bid you on it. Just in case you were.

How about the BYF 42s purchased by Portugal at the end of the Mauser PO8 production run (m & n suffix) in 1943? TH

Doug,

Joop from Belgium posted these GNR's over on Jan Still's Gun Board a few weeks back :

" List updated
Thanks to Doug Smith I received the SN's of some very interesting Portuguese Lugers.
SN's 2296v, 2298v, 2483v, 2484v, 2486v, 2487v and 2489v have the following configuration:
4" - 9mm barrels, Cc/U commercial proofed, segurado and carregado markings for safety and extractor, no chamber marking, Mauser Banner 5 lines on toggle.
These SN's fall into the Batch of (also) Portuguese GNR contract Lugers, which have a longer 7.65mm barrel and a GNR chamber marking.
It might be, that the Portuguese Navy ordered some sample/test Lugers, that were delivered with the GNR pistols in 1935.
The sampling must have been succesful, as the Portuguease Navy ordered later three batches of these pistols hjaving the same configuration.

Hi guys,
C/M2-S#3803. 1 triangle inside circle mag. So far, I've got the youngest one.

In both Luger Tips and Standard Catalog of Lugers it's stated that there are only 6 reported Royal Navys. There are 4 on this thread alone and I've recently seen 4 more for sale on other forums. Must be coming out of the wood work. Does anybody know if they have one of the 6 the books were refering too?
